Left Foot Twitching Since December

I feel like a broken record, but here I go again.... I am just so nervous that there is something really wrong with me. I have had non stop left foot twitching since December. I get twitches other places, but they come an go, but never never leaves left foot and it is very localized spot. This makes me very nervous, b/c it seems most people who have calves/feet twitching have it all over and not very localized. Also, it seems that their hot spot has gone after 8 months and moved somewhere else. I am just looking for someone with something similair to my symptoms. I go back and fourth with the fear everyday. I think that I would have weakness by now, but then I think well maybe it is a muscle in my foot that you dont use too much, so it isnt making me weak yet...does that even make any sense?? I feel like I should get another EMG b/c when I did get mine they could see fasiculations and reinervation. It didnt say denervation, but i am assuming you have to have that for reinervation right?? It makes me nervous b/c I just read simons post and his DR said you see that in ALS patients. Now, I have been getting muscle pain. I have been getting hamstring pain, shin, calves, and ankle pain. I was just wondering if others get this pain that comes and goes throughout the day in their legs? I feel like when I am on my feet for a long time they are very painful (especially hamstring in right leg), but this also occurs even when I am not on feet for long period of time. I guess I need some reassuring again...getting anxious!

There are plenty of people who have had nonstop calve twitching for many years. I would think the nonstop foot twitching would be less worrisome than that since it has been mentioned that the nerves in the feet take a beating in life and can actually be damaged as normal wear and tear and that could explain the twitching and reinervation. Denervation/reinervation is indeed seen in ALS but all it is is a sign of nerve damage which can be caused by lots of things so it is not really diagnostic unless it is everywhere in the body and causing rapid, progressive weakness that responds to no treatment. Otherwise it is just a symptom of many, many neurological problems including trauma and other neuropathies. If you did not have the foot twitch, would the other twitches be significant enough for you to think you had something going on more than normal since normal people do twitch every now and then. I ask this because I have a nonstop twitch/contraction in my left hand and I have twitches everywhere randomly too. I do not think of the constant hand twitch as signaling anything worse. I just think the nerve there must be really sensitive compared to the other nerves and the muscle there really small and thus easy to move. If your foot twitch is really the only abnormal thing and the other twitches are in the normal range, you probably just have an injured foot nerve.I will be interested in the thoughts of others on this. I also think there are others who have nonstop foot twitches. Probably more than even is realized since not all twitches can be felt. I cannot feel the one in my hand so if I had one in my foot like that I may never see it. I have looked at my foot and seen twitches I cannot feel before too. I do not check it regularly to see if it is still there since it wouldn't add anything to what I already know, which is I have a twitching problem.Krackersones

My calves, rt foot, shoulders, knees, thighs, hands tongue, all twitch too, but it is not 24/7 like my left foot. I do have a lot of calve twitching, but it comes and goes.I am real nervous as well b/c of the muscle pain as well.

Larent, does your left foot twitch non stop? Or does it let up sometimes? Does it twitch in the same spot??are you feeling any better since you removed your fillings??

no i don't feel better. yes i twitch there every second, at the same place, instep and sole of the foot. looks like a bunch of worms. and i know of at least two people who had the same experience for a long time. don't remember their names but if you do a search for sole of the foot you will find them....

Mine is the arch of foot same spot. It never stops! I was looking at it today and even when I dont see big thumpers, there is a tiny twitch going on, that you really cant see unless u are under a light or sunlight. That freaks me out! It is just hard to believe that it is nothing, I mean it never did that before and know it does!
