Lack of Strength in Fingers & Wrists

The last few days I have a hard time squeezing things my fingers (especially right hand). For example, if I hold a pen it is just like it can fall out of my hands and I can barely give any pressure to it. The power/strenght itself is there. Has anybody else experienced this or is it just a matter of perceived weakness? Further, I am still suffering from stiff and painful wrists, shoulders and elbows. Twitching in those areas is now more often than before. Notice that some days I do not twitch at all. So I was thinking, as I work for very long times, day in day out, with computers would it be possible that RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) / CANS(complaints of the arm, neck and/or shoulder) complaints can go to BFS? Thanks for any replies and support.

Is your thenar eminence (muscles at the base of the thumb) atrophied? How about the muscles of your hypothenar (muscles leading down from the base of your pinky to your wrist)? I don't understand what you mean when you say that if you hold a pen, it falls out, yet in the next sentence you say the power/strength is stil there. It sounds like you may have carpal tunnel or cubital tunnel syndrome, radiculopathy, or just RSIs from bad posture. Fasciculations are a relatively common occurrence in these maladies, especially if you're suffering from weakness to hold objects like a pen, doubly so if you have noticeable atrophy.

it looks for me exactly like carpal/ulnar syndrome. That syndrome also leads to inability to grip and it is accompained with a real pain. my sister in law developed it just a few month ago - holy crap, she could not hold a cup then! and a pain was significant. hopefully, she got now some treatment and feels beter. And she is not a milker or waiver or etc., just plain office person...computer work of r8-10 hours a day is enough to make that.

That sounds very odd, not like any medical condition I've heard of, I'm pretty sure BFS does not cause momentary weakness either. Thankfully, I think the localization of your symptoms and the fact that you're 7 months in now rules out pretty much anything serious, but maybe it could be psychogenic. This is probably not much of a help, but back in grade school, whenever I would write for a while, and then some thought that would make me queasy would pop into my head, it would feel like my grip got weaker, my writing got messier, and it was an effort just to grip the pen/pencil and continue writing.Tell me about your other symptoms.

Wow those are some pretty varied and bizarre symptoms. I guess the only thing left for you to do now is an EMG, although I doubt that will show anything other than unrelated incidental findings if anything at all. You have too many sensory issues for MG or MND, MRI pretty much ruled MS/brain tumor out. I feel that pretty much every doc will be stumped and you will be left with an unsatisfying diagnosis of anxiety. If you had MND, one of your arms/hands would be dead by now, hotspots are common in BFS. Are you still cramping, or have those symptoms all subsided, and all you're left with now is transient hand weakness?

Yep, tell me about it. I still have flare ups of stiffness/tightness/nerve pain/tingling/fatigue etc.... some symptoms fade away and then flare up again. Some symptoms will stay for days and then fade away while others set in, so every day is like a surprise.
