Knee/Thigh Pain When Standing

Hi Everybody!Just a question: Since a few weeks I have terrible knee/thigh pain when standing in a rest and walking slowly doing small steps, when walking fast it gets much better, when resting it vanishes. Als my right quadriceps muscle seems smaller than the left one. Chiro has also found out that I had some slight athrosis behind both patellas but this seem to be not the reason for my general burning leg pains. But the most curious thing is that I got increased twitching around the hurting knee/thigh area, especially when standing in a rest at the bathroom with full load on the knees it starts with twitching at the muscles around the knee!! Is this common?

The quads/ thigh muscles are very strong and large and therefore I imagine very suspectible to BFS, which can of course cause cramp and pain. My neurologist asked me specifically if I had symptoms above my patella when I went for my assessment and I was left tht the impression that the people she had seen with BFS had reported symptoms there. If you were worried about a more serious cause then you probably don't need to - after all, your symptoms seem to improve when you walk fast and I would have thought that a more serious problem would cause the symptoms to worsen at such a time. All the bestSimon

Thank you Simon, really helpful! Anyway it sucks, when standing after short time legs/knees are terribly aching and twitching, when walking everything gets better when resting everything vanishes! All the best,Matt
