Is Muscle Twitching Affect Heart Rhythm?

Being that the heart is a muscle and the fact that I twitch so much all over, I wonder if it is possible it could ever affect the rhythm of my heart? From what I have heard, your muscles and your heart are on two completely different electrical systems and would not affect one another. Any insight on this issue? Calling all doctors in da house.....

I think you have missed basic human biology lessons in your school :) At first, BFS (but ALS too) affects only muscles that you can voluntary move. I dont know the english right term, those are skeletal muscles controlled by your mind through brain and spinal cords (those are the famous upper and lower motor neurons we often speak about here).Heart consists of special muscle tissue (myokardic muscle? - just an attempt to translate :) but you cannot control it as you cannot control muscles in your guts.So dont worry, you heart wont twitch .)EDIT: Please, would anyone knows how is the english term for all voluntarily unmoveable muscles meaning the term of the tissue? I cannot find it in our dictionaries, thanks!

Heart is not voluntary muscle and is not controlled by the same process as the skeletal muscle or even smooth muscle - thnk bladder/intestine etc. It also doesnot have sodium/potassium channels it runs on calcium. Not to dumb it down but it gets quite complicated. You may feel some occasional palpitations of your heart - where your heart feels lik eit is skipping a beat but that is more likely due to caffeine or anxiety. BFS does NOT affect your heart. Now if any of you are having any symptoms that can be directly related to your heart - that means you get yourself to a doctor ASAP. We don't play with that stuff got it? Kit
