Is Ibuprofen effective for twitches?

GuysI may sound stupid but on several occasions when I had headaches, I got Ibrufen liquid tablets and my twitches stopped (temporarily). I thought it maay have been just a coincidence or placebo. Last night, I had a terrible headache and got two ibrufen tablets. Since then more than 12 hours passed and so far I have not had any single twitch. What do you think guys? May it be just placebo or any ingredient in Ibrufen helps the nerves to calm down?

Very interesting. I remember when i got down with the cold last time I took some anti cold drugs and when I go back to the past my twitching had really stoped.

sadly for me, ibuprofen does nothing for me....I know this because i don't take tylenol so ibu is my pain reliever of choice and i still twitch and cramp like a mother while on it. That said, I'm really glad to hear it helps you, we are all different so what works or doesn't work for some doesn't necessarily have any bearing on what will happen with others. take care,Gary

Frequent headaches can be a symptom of a sensitivity/allergy to something you are eating. Soy products and many different types of hopps used in beers used to give me bad headaches.Anyway, in regards to the twitching responding to your meds... Since the headache med is also an anti-inflammatory, it is possible your twitching is tied to an inflammation. Compression on a nerve or something? Might be worth getting checked out by a chiropractor.
