Is BFS Commonly Undetected?

How common do you all think BFS is? It seems to be that most people start out having a twitching finger or eye, then notice they twitch everywhere. Is it possible that you were twitching everywhere before and only started paying attention to it when it became temporarily pronounced in one spot. If that is true then a large percentage of the population could be twitching and not realize it. For example when I mentioned my twitching to my mother she looked at her feet and noticed that they twitch. I have seen them myself. HOW COMMON IS THIS REALLY??

Bignatty,

I couldn't agree more.
I think you raise a very good point. My wife says she's twitching on a regular basis, probably everyday, but : she doesn't pay attention to it. Lucky her !
I remember a time when I was twitching prior to my "als fear" period. At that time, I simply thought : oh, well. And then I forgot.
Lucky me.
I think it's very difficult to know how many people are twitching because, if you don't pay attention to them - well, you don't even know you have them ! Unless you're asked, maybe.
I read in a french neurology book that this fasciculations problem concerned at least 50% of the population.
Maybe it's more.
Talk about fasciculations around you. You may be surprised.
Anyway, take care.
It's good to know you're not alone.
