Introducing Myself - BFS and Twitching

For those of you who havent met me yet (I joined very recently); here is a short summary of my history. I have been widespread twitching for almost a year now. My left eyelid was my first and continues to be my worst spot. I am undiagnosed, but have had a clear brain MRI. Diagnosed myself with BFS with a clear brain MRI and no other symptoms after one whole year this seems very likely.I am writing now to vent about my new twitch. All 4 of my eyelids have twitched off and on since this crap started. But for the first time tonight my right eyelid is flipping out also when I close it to sleep! One thing I have always been able to do is shut my eyes and at least that part of my body will stop and I could get a good nights sleep. I have had my calfs, quads, and feet twitching at night and was still able to overcome them and sleep. I don't think I can do that with my eyelid. So frustrating! I know that most likely this will pass because most of my twitches seem to come and go as they please. My eyelids are the only ones that seem to always be there is one way, shape, or form. When they are calmed down they need activated from a sneeze, rubbing, blinking hard, etc. Sometimes though like all day today and tonight....no activation is needed and they twitch like crazy as my right upper eyelid is doing tonight! Ugh! Frustrating! Curious if anyone else has ever had a similar experience? Boy I hate this crap! Thanks for listening.Jim

My bottom eyelid has been twitching NON STOP for a week now. Just went to the eye doctor today and everything is ok. She said that eye twitching is totally benign.

Thanks tresie. Hope yours stops soon.. Volfan....that is hilarious...if that were true my wife would have kicked me out of the house by now! :) My right eyelid stopped when I woke up this morning (i did finally get back to sleep somehow).just decided to move to my left! Gotta love BFS

Anything on the face is very annoying, I had the eye lid one recently that was constant for 1-2 weeks... 4 years ago my chin twitched on the same spot for a few months, it slowly subsided and was only activated by yawning or moving it in certain ways then it disappeared.. I can blink my eyes hard or sneeze and they twitch a few seconds or so, my tongue tip twitches when I talk or move it certain ways too but like my eyes and chin it was doing it constant to begin with... The tongues been going for 10 weeks or so... Like most of us I also get very active calfs and various hot spots that come and go.

These according to my neuro who is a leading expert in MND are not fasciculations nut blepharitis. He was unconcerned about mine. I have had twitching eyes for nearly 9 months and at their worst I could squint and it would set them off. Really horrid and annoying but nothing to do with MND so don't worry
