How to Diagnose BFS

Hello all!I was just wondering how you found this website?I came across it when I googled my symptoms and started lurking on the @ls boards. I wouldn't post and ask questions, just read. I found a lot of posts by people asking if they had the disease because they were twitching. The kind members of the site seemed kind of irritated and posted a sticky about bfs and a link to this website. I think they had a lot of people coming there seeking answers, so they directed us twitchy folks to this site.Voila, here I am!So how did you come across this site?

because runet has no BFS articles, I was lucky enough to type 'bening myolonia" in English and got to Wikipedia which has a link to old site, nexination.com. I wonder if it is updated now!

Well it wasnt through my Neurologist since neither neurologist has a clue what BFS is, and neither had ever heard of it. I found this site the way that people will gasp and be appalled by: I was using Dr. Google .... and found a forum on health conditions where a young guy posted these symptoms. And some random other lay person with NO MEDICAL DEGREE (gaspp!!) commented that it very well might be BFS.Then i used the horrible Dr. Google to search BFS and found this forum. Thank God for those without medical degrees who still research conditions and learn about them, and thank God for Dr. Google :)

My neuro told me about BFS and told me to look into it. I went and searched and the first thing that came up was Alonzo Johnson's "BFS In a Nutshell." So I did some research on Alonzo and figured out he knew his sh*t, and that led me here since he helped found this site. I have been here off and on in some form or another ever since.

I also consulted the one and only Dr. Google and after visiting the *** boards I ran into many links to BFS and this website.

I found it the exact same way, Jay. I was googling symptoms, rummaging through ALS boards, etc. I really started getting into this board after I'd read a bunch of articles on BFS and twitching that were written for Yahoo by Jillita Horton. Those came-up on the google search, too. She's a personal trainer/author who's got BFS, been down this road, etc. She's written some really nifty articles on the topic (they're available on-line for free), and she highly recommends this board for those of us who twitch.
