How Many of Us Have ALS?

I just noticed that we have about 976 members. since most of us all always worried about ALS ( I still kind of wonder why some of us do not want to spell this out remember,they are only letters ) I wonder if we can find out how many of us (if any) have actually contracted the dreaded disease. Maybe this info will help us relax a little. (either that or freak us out more )

i really don't think people who have twitched for 1 or 2 years are longer with no weakness really believe they have als anymore. i really don't know why all the emphasis on this board is the about als. we're all fighting a very annoying syndrome that affects our lives. its funny how after each confirmation we won't die we're elated then reality sets in the twitching won't stop and then we all get a little depressed. reality is most of us will ahve to live with the twitching. i remeber when i first started twitching i thought it would goaway on its own
