Hey there,
that's very interesting that your doctor linked twitching to excess electrical activity in the brain. About ...hmmm...2 years ago when I developed some shaking upon waking from sleep (pre-twitching by about 1 year) I was tested for epilepsy. No epilepsy was found but I was found to have brain waves patterns that were not super normal...kind of within the normal range but a little wacky. Anyway, I always questioned whether this weird , but harmless, brain rhythm may be linked to BFS. Not like anyone would know they had it unless they happened to have an extended EEG of the brain.
The fact that any of the typical brain stressors (alcohol, stress, lack of sleep, improper nutrition) are also the things that make BFS worse is interesting.
