Help with Thumb Stiffness & BFS

You guys are a huge help and i appreciate the help...Coming here always makes me feel a little bit better.

But it all started with a thumb twitch...would it make sense for that thumb to continue to be stiff after about a month or two no real stiffness anywhere else can BFS start and settle in an area like a thumb...because i know ALS is in one area...i do however twitch all over (could be a good sign) but there is this stiffness in the left thumb which is where the twitching started(occurs especially while laying down)and while lying down the thumb just gets real heavy and stiff and feels as if a strong twitch is coming on but doesnt .I have woken up some mornings with the hand cramped and some mornings it is sleep and tingling i am right handed though...

Also i dont know what this is indicative of but it happens...Not saying that i condone marijuana use...but the times i have smoked it that same thumb gets a kind of burning sensation that goes all the way up the the left side of the wrist all the way into the forearm area...like someone gave me a indian burn or something...and also fingers on both hands feel all stuck together and clumsy and oddly enough this is more prenounced in the right hand

And again i appreciate you guys help...i dont know any of you personally but i have no problems in calling you guys friends as i go through whatever this is...Feedback on Q's.

Oh yeah, I had it in my right thumb for two months!

That's exactly where mine started... left thumb.... now, it's everywhere but at least I know what it is and it's dealable.....there are a lot worse things.....

Try searching "marijuana" on these forums and you'll find all sorts of posts about it exacerbating symptoms and people getting worse when smoking. I used to smoke a lot when I was younger, but stopped a few years ago due to health reasons and drug tests at work. I still have plenty of friends that do, and I wondered if maybe it would calm the twitching, maybe ease the anxiety a bit. But after reading all the reports on here about people's twitching going into 5th gear when they smoke and the other weird things that occur (like your experience), I decided against it.
