Hi would really be happy for some answears, im so afraid...How many of you have buzzing along with the twitching? How does your buzzing feels like? What do you people meen when you say 24/7 and that you have a hotspot? I meen How often and for how long does it twitch to call it 24/7 and a hotspot? My twitches is all over me, but it can be more in both legs or feet one day, the face one day and so on. It twitch on or a few times and then move around to do next spot. Is it good sign the twitches is in both sides ?(like i have)I think that when my twitching is better its more of the buzzing. The buzzing moves around but i have had that feeling in one shoulderblade for a long time. And one spot in my face is buzzing on and off for a long time. When i think about it, i feel it. When have anxiety i feel it even more. Om so scared, i didnt think buzzing was i sign of *** :( Im sorry if some of my qu7estions are stupid but im new at this site and im so scared. i hope i have the same thing as you guys...One think ive noticed when i been reading some in here is that many people(just like me) got this *beep* *beep* when the read that twitches is a sign of ***. I wish i never googled

Hey there, I'm in a similar situation ...I consider 24/7 to be on and off throught the day most everyday in one place or another or some fashion of twitching/buzzing/etc. I get a lot of single fire twitches that jump around in a completely RANDOM fashion. As for the buzzing, I just recently started to feel that .. just kind of like a cell phone on vibrate in a part of your body (my inner thigh). I have noticed that when I am very anxious, I got REALLY bad heavy "hot spots" in certain areas for a few minutes. I twitch ALL over, some small some more prominent, with I'd say 70% in lower body areas. Anxiety meds would prob help. I saw a GP who did all strength tests a neuro would do and said they're just benign, but I've had a hard time too accepting it. I went to the NET and read WAY too much about *** (DON'T!) ...

I know you are scared....these sensations are alarming because they are so unfamiliar. Everything that you describe is typical of BFS and you describe very well how they feel. I've had this thing going on 5 years now, and I have to say that although most of the time I am so used to the sensations that I hardly notice them, sometimes a hotspot flares up and becomes so annoying that it drives me to distraction. They always go away after awhile...only to show up somewhere else later. I hope you can be comforted by the fact that they are part of this syndrome, and not something worse. And yes, anxiety does make them worse...in fact, I think that anxiety is part of the syndrome, and not a cause of it. You're not alone! Take care!

Hi: Iknow that you are scared and confused. It is so hard to believe that your body can go so haywire and it not be a deadly illness causing it. But, believe it or not......it can be. I get the buzzing, vibrating thing a lot and have for a long time. Actually, I had that before I got freaked out by the twitching. My twitching is almost nil now, but the fluttery, buzzing stuff still goes on. If you can come to grips with the fact that you have no deadly illness, then pretty soon, the buzzing just becomes part of life and you begin to not notice. Hope this helps----just one more step in learning to cope.BlessingsCindy

Hi, many of us have been scared and confused and still go through those feelings periodically. I have had this for 4-5 years and I made a list of all of the more common symptoms just so I could review periodically. Maybe this will help you too.In addition to lots of different types of twitches you might experience the following:CrampingAches Pains Stiffness Tingling Buzzing or vibratingNumbnessPins and needles TremorsPerceived weakness (weak or rubbery arms/legs/hands –this is really fatigue...see below) Visible and non-visible shakes (can feel like every organ is shaking sometimes as well as hands/arms/legs) Body jolts Fatigue (can be extreme...a drained feeling, lack of energy, weak rubbery legs/arms) Exercise intolerance (a little exercise makes you feel like you ran a marathon & increases symptoms)Some people sweat a lot due to increased muscle activity 24/7. I am one of those.I have experienced most of these symptoms and probably even some others not listed here. Severity and duration varies for each person and each symptom.Twitches are ever-changing; going from little tiny ones that you might or might not be able to see or feel, up to great big thumpers that can move a whole limb. They might be on one side or both sides; might be in one limb or multiple limbs. You might have twitches in your tongue or neck or face.So if you are new to all of this, make a list and review it when a new symptom occurs. That is just a little suggestion that helped me.Of course, I'm still not calm when a new one hits! It's just that I know it is not **S or something bad. I know it is all caused by BFS or BCFS. Still doesn't make it a walk in the park. When I get flare-ups (increase in intensity), I always become more anxious. I don't know that it will ever change for me. You can get used to some of it, but I think when you are going through flare-ups, especially if they are worse than ever, you might always find yourself anxious. Being informed and understanding that this comes and goes in severity and duration helps a lot, too. One day a finger twitches, next day an arch in your foot, and the next day your tongue! I have had my entire body twisting with buzzing, twitches, and cramps in various places at the same time. THAT is scary! BFS with cramping is known as BCFS, “Benign Cramp Fasciculation Syndrome". I have also had a long remission, but it returned in Feb 08 big time. You are never alone because you can always come here! DO NOT DO SEARCHES on the internet for these symptoms. Just come here. There is no point in scaring yourself to death by reading what the internet says about **S. That is not what you have. You are fine. If there is just no way you can stay off the internet, then do searches for BFS and BCFS. But the best thing to do is come here. The stickies in AboutBFS on this forum will give you lots of good information.Relax & stop worrying -- being anxious only makes the symptoms worse (I am speaking from experience).Take care!Stacy

Hi,My main symptom is the buzzing/vibrating sensations in both calves. It's was nonstop but it appears to have slowed some.I mostly feel it in my calves when I am not moving. When I'm active it's considerably less noticeable. I have had this for 8 months. My neuro says it all benign. I have all the tests done and all have been normal. I also get tremors in my arms, preceived weakness in left arm and muscle sorness. Hope this helps.CDC
