Hi all, sorry to bother you all again but I'm really freaking out. I have twitches near / along the spine. Never ever heard someone mentioned about that. But I have them . I'm so getting convinced by now this is not benign anymore.Anyone twitches near his/her spine?Bart

Yeah I get that from time to ime. I had always just assumed that, because the back muscles are so strong, they are more susceptible to twitching and that these twitches would be bigger.RegardsSimon

My dear BartTry not to bother when the twitching start a new place. Accept it. Its the way of bfs. The sooner you accept it, the sooner you get back to "normal" again. If you get upset every time theres a new twitch a new place, youll never get over it. Bart - you are not sick. You are healthy and the neuros youve seen, say the same. Now, stop worry too much. And do the things you did before all this. Take one day at a time. I know it sounds easy. But once you try to take things more easely, you will recover and the twitching will be less and less. Trust me, Bart. Its really the only cure out of all this. Try to imagine that the experts that saw you are right. You are fine and healthy. Do you feel better now? Good. Now relax and do something that can take your mind somewhere else. Go see somebody. Find a new hobby. Play some tennis. Oh, yes and dont talk too much about all that twitching. It annoys people. And try not to visit this homepage too often until you are better. Actually stay off the internet completely. Lets say: a month? Try not to google anything. Read a book. Play computer if you want. But just not google. Its the google who brought you in this mess. Dont forget that. Google is working like a drug for you right now. You recieve an adrenaline kick when you google those storys. And adrenaline makes the twitching worse. Trust me. I know what i am talking about. BTW you have been twitching for far too long for it to be sinister anyway. So this is the last internet-thing youll see for a month from now. Do we have a deal?

Bart,You have two large and long muscles that run along the spine from your sacrum (hips) all the way up to your skull called the erector spinae - these are the filet mignon muscles if you were a cow. They are skeletal muscle and can twitch no different than any other muscle. You also have at least 6 strap muscles, very small on each side and in between your vertebrae and again, although small are skeletal and can twitch. My dear, if it is a muscle that has a nerve attached to it and runs on a sodium and potassium channel (just about everything but the cardiac muscle), it can twitch and it is no more indicative of anything more sisister than BFS. Revel in your aberrant twitches it means that you have this and you are fine!Smooches,Kit

My dear BartIf you read this message, you didnt listen to me and you will never get better. Stay off the internet for the duration of this months (and the next and the next).

I know fox I should stay of the internet. But everytime I convince myself I'm ok something new happens. Like today my left shoulder blade is twitching A LOT, and ofcourse I'm thinking this could be something sinister

Bart. Im sure theres something completely wrong with you. You have a rare form of a sinister disease that hide for almost 2 years and no experts can find. Actually it is so sinister that it may hide a few years more. And then a few years more. Actually itll hide the rest of your life for many, many years. Evil. Im sorry to say, that you are just an average person with above average twitching. And an above scepticism regarding to dx given by experts. TRUST THEM WHEN THEY SAY THAT YOU ARE OK! But I can go on from now on and keep answer your posts. It doesnt help at all. You keep on google rare cases and live you self into them. Bart: you are about to getting nuts. REAL nuts. Not just nuts. Get some REAL help. But leave the internet ALONE. We all have limited time on this wonderful earth. Use it better than seeing ghosts and believe that you are gonna die soon. You are not.
