Help! PD Fears with Foot Issues

Please help!

I am freaking out over PD fears again. My foot has been jerking occasionally whenever it is at rest. My middle toes feel wierd and I have this pain below the inner ankle. It is sore to the touch and some times it is sore to walk. The pain has been there since May. I walk normally (I think), but this pain is crazy. I am not twitching as much anymore as I did in the beginning.

I also read so much contradictory info. 1 person says that lesions for parkinsons can be detected on an MRI other people say it cannot. I had a clean MRI.

I hear that twitching is not PD related others say it can be.

I hear foot on your sole is typical of young onset PD. I have no sole pain it is on the side of the foot below the ankle.

I hear myoclonic jerks are part of BFS, but what concerns me is this wierd feeling in my foot and my 3 middle toes.

Please let me know what you think. I appreciate any input.

thank you,

Luke

i once feared PD when i first got bfs....... my ankles were my biggest problem with pain... parathethsia is what your experiancing as the funny feeling in your toes... has a doctor told you that you have BFS?... if so you are most likely experiancing classic bfs symptoms... so i would accept BFS... a doctor is experianced enough to rule out things like PD ALS ect..

Hi 12Drifter12,

Thanks for the reply. The doctor didn't say I had BFS, he said I had benign fasciciulations, which I think would be the same. I hope. I did MRI (full study), EMG and NCS and all was normal.

I got to keep telling myself I have BFS.

Thank you so much for your help!

Luke

Luke,

You do not have PD! You have had this for at least a year now, you would certainly know if you had PD by now. Do not let the anxiety of BFS get to you...You are having these feelings because of BFS. My toe did and felt the same way before.

Last night I had a jerk so bad it made my husband jump.lol..The whole right side of my body jumped all at once. Of course I had to laugh when my husband jumped a mile..lol..poor guy. It is nothing but BFS and anxiety, promise...Jenn

Thanks Jenn!

That's the kick I needed. I guess my concern is that the pain is mainly on the right side of my body. It kind of scares me. I get twitches everywhere but not as much.

I appreciate soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for both of your responses.

Thank you,

Luke

Forgot one thing...well one big thing..You do not have muscle twitches in PD. You have twitches all over your body, that is a great sign that you do not have PD. Trust me, my father's best friend has PD and we are nothing like him. I asked him all of the PD questions and nothing we have is PD..No problem for the kick in the butt... ;) ..Jenn
