I have a dorsal ganglion on the wrist where the pulse is!I am afraid that a ganglion is caused by a muscle atrophy?????????????????????????????????Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Simona_Star, PLEASE calm down. I've never heard or seen anything relating a ganglion cyst to muscle atrophy. Ganglion cysts are very very common. -Matt
I have one on my left wrist. My doctor said that they are caused by irritation on the tendons. Nothing to worry about. My left arm is not my dominant arm/hand but I tend to lift with my left hand and my doctor said this is the cause of my cyst. It can cause numbness and tingling but again, nothing to worry about at all : )
Had one in my left wrist about 15 years ago from an injury to that wrist. Was due to get it removed and it "popped" when I jammed that wrist the day before surgery. Old wives tales tell you to drop a large book on it. I wouldn't try it, but no worries they are harmless.
I had one ganglion in the finger joint for 14 days, I also had pain. Yesterday it "broke" by itself I guess, it is no longer there, pain is much less. Calm down, ganglion has nothing to do with atrophy!
