Healthy Iron Levels - No Problem

I have had periodically low iron levels - very infrequent and only moderately low. They always return to normal without intervention, and doctors have never seemed concerned.

Yikes!!! I went to the Dr. several weeks ago, and all my blood work was fine EXCEPT for low iron. Of course, being me...I have been too afraid to google it (good idea for me) so instead I have been fairly sure it is the sign of some future horrible blood disease. I am not anemic? I was going to ask our resident medical genius Suzie...but I really do not want to know...unless it is nothing to worry about????LOL......

Dr. said take iron for three months, and retest? I guess he isn't too worried, but once again not me...I choos to worry.

Hi guys,
It can be quite normal for females of certain peri-menopausal age (ahem) to have chronically low iron.

I wouldn't worry, ristinaL91. Try to beef up your iron intake, (LOL...get it? 'BEEF UP' heh heh...I crack myself up. ;) )

No, seriously...the green leafy's are probably your best source for dietary iron, because they contain less saturated fat of course.

Hope this helps,
Blessings,
Sue
