I purchased a book called "It's not all in your head, how worrying about your helath could be making you sick-and what you can do about it". For anyone with health anxiety, I strongly recommend this book. I had health anxiety before my twitching started and I am really starting to believe it's all related. This books tells stories of people who have crazy symptoms and convince themselves they had deadly diseases. There are some stories about people thinking they have ALS also. It then talks about "body noise" and how sometimes your body just does strange things but it doesn't mean it's a deadly disease. There are quiz's and it uses Cognitive behavorial techniques to help. I know not everyone has health anxiety on here but I know alot of us do so I just wanted to share my experience with this book. I found it to be very helpful.

Thanks for sharing. I am glad it helped you. I just wish the twitching was in my head but being able to see it makes me know that it is not. I do think anything that helps you worry less and realize that how you think does effect your body is very useful.

Krackersones... that is exactly what the book is saying. The symptoms are very real. It's really a book for people with Health Anxiety (like myself). It really helps to explain that even though you have these strange bodily symptoms it doesn't mean it's deadly.

Wouldn't mind getting hold of a copy of this book Leslie - sounds great. Please could you tell me who wrote and published it and I will try to get a copy from Amazon.CheersSimon

It's published by Gordon J. G. Asmundson PHD, and Steven Swift_TaySwift20 PHD "It's not all in your head.. how worrying about your health could be making you sick-and what you can do about it". I got mine from Barnes & Noble.
