Head Twitching: Lyme or Mono?

The most annoying area i get twitches (when i don't "self-medicate") is the temple area - interrupts my thoughts terribly. Does face/head twitching rule out, say, a spinal injury as the cause of my twitching, and point to lyme disease or nerve antibodies from mono ? (mono was positive when stuff started), don't know about lyme but there was a suspected tick bite several years ago.

My initial twitches presented in my lips, so I did a bit of research on facial twitching. The only thing I could find was a link between facial myokymia and brain stem tumor. Apparently it's a fairly particular type of myokymia that causes a continuous, vermicular type of motion from below the eye all the way down the cheek. I am unsure if in these instances the facial twitching is isolated or wether it appears with other body twitches. Not sure if facial twitching rules out anything in particular.

This is an excellent question that I have wondered about for some time now. You wouldn't think that a spinal injury would cause twitching in the face but then again, I just happened to be looking up ear pain the other day on the internet. It actually said you can have ear pain from spinal disease so maybe it's possible it can cause facial twitching. Where is TwitchyMD? He might be able to answer this.
