Have You Taken Fluoroquinolones Before BFS?

I'm going to ask this question again, just to get some updated info. First let me say that I don't believe this to be the cause of everyone's BFS, just an interesting lead for some of us.

Here's the question:

Did you take levaquin, cipro, tequin, amicrobin, avelox, or floxin (or any other flouroquinolone) before the onset of twitching?

If you answer yes, please indicate whether you have muscle/joint pain and/or cramping associated with your BFS.

Thanks,

gary

No, I did not take any antibiotics before onset of twitching. The only one I've even heard of that you listed is Cipro. I did take echinechia for a cold about 1 week before onset of twitch and I had only taken it one other time about 6 months before.

I was on an antibiotic in December but I already gave you the name of it way back when and you said it didn't qualify as one of the ones you talk about so I don't think it would have caused it.

It was some type of sulfer drug but I can't remember the name of it. I might still have the PM and I will look and repost if I do but like I said I don't think it was in the class you speak about.

I wish it was because then it would make some sense to me if nothing else.

I did start and stop a pack of birth control pills in the middle of the pack because they were making me sick. That was about two weeks prior to the twitching but I was already in a huge anxiety state before I stopped the pills about a totally unrelated health issue.

For me I know the only other time I have twitched was as you know 12 years ago with major panic attacks which I had this time too leading me to believe mine is anxiety.

Yes, noticed symptoms 2-3 months after being prescribed Cipro for a sinus infection.

The twitching started, then fatigue, rubbery arms and legs, and my hand hurts on and off. Have had these symptoms for 6 months now. Symptoms mainly on left side.
