Have Fluoroquinolone Antibiotics Caused BFS?

I am just inquiring about the use of Fluoroquinolone antibiotics such as Levaquin and many others. How many people here have taken these to fight an infection in the past year and now have develped BFS symptoms. I am not saying that this is a cause, but I just wanted to see if there is any possible link. Some studies say that after ingesting these antibiotics, you can develop muscle twitching, weeks and even several months afterward. I am just curious and again, I am not implying that this is a cause. PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS IF YOU HAVE TAKEN THESE ANTIBIOTICS.HERE IS A LINK TO THE STUDY: look at pages 49,109,110...there are other mentions too regarding the damage these antibiotics do to your body, its a long study.

FQ antibiotics ARE a cause/trigger for some people here (definitely not the only cause). No doubt about it as far as i'm concerned....and that comes after much research on my part. My bfs started within a week after a rx of cipro. There have been a bunch of people on here over the years that have reported fq usage prior to bfs. Here is a link to one of the many posts about FQ's:Take care,Gary

i had antibiotics for 20 days.....right after that the twitching began....but the antibiotics that i took for a toe infection was froom the group of the amoxiline peniciline, probably not the one you are asking about.....
