Has Magnesium Relieved Muscle Twitches?

I have read from many sources that magnesium helps with muscle twitches. I currently take magnesium supplement but amunable to clearly state on whether it helps or not.Has anyone else found relief using magnesium supplements or increasing magnesium naturally with veggies anf fruit?and if so, how much do you take in mg's?

I guess after this week, after not taking any supplements my twitching is worst....but I cant say if they are related until I start taking them again. I was thinking about starting again on Monday. This week has been pretty bad....eventwitching around the stomach/rib cage area.

I have just visited a Chiropodist and told him about my foot cramps. He advised me to get Magnesium Phosphate which i have been taking for a couple of days but atb the moment i dont see any change.

I tried it and didn't notice any difference. In fact, when one of the neuros I saw (the one who stuck the EMG needles in) read my file, she suggested I not take OTC magnesium supplements. A good multivitamin has been the only supplement that a neuro has recommended to me.

Jeffrey, what is a good multivitamin? For years, I took Centrum. Then I was having problems with elevated liver enzymes (ALT/AST) and my doctor asked if I took a multivitamin. She said that she's seen them cause elevated liver enzymes in the past. I stopped taking Centrum and my years of having elevated liver enzymes have been over - for about 2 years now.I'm wondering if there is a better one to take that might not cause that problem in me?
