Has Anyone Else Had Pain Under Left Arm?

I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this pain that I am having--not sure if I can chalk it up to BFS or anxiety or what. The pain started under my left arm but is now mainly on the inner part of my left arm from my shoulder to elbow. It has also spread to the side of my rib cage and shoulder blade. I think it is starting on the other side now. I saw my GP, who did an ekg, breast exam, and said it was anxiety. I do tend to hold my neck and shoulders tight all the time as a result of anxiety, so this may be causing the pain. Wondering (hoping) someone else out there has experienced this too.

Hey Amanda
Your symptoms you describe really sound alot like mine. and what ive been working on for over a yr now- mines: on the left deltoid-under the left shoulder blade- and in the Teres minor- used to have alot of pain down the left arm on the inside of the arm- through my triceps and down the forearm- with the left side of my ribs feeling quite tight- and aggravated-lately i have noticed tightness in the left pec muscle as well as the left side of neck (scalenes)
anyway- i try to stretch every day- which seems to help some- drink lots of water- eat lots of ibuprofen- other than that cant help much-it may be posture- it may be anxiety- and stress, as i noticed i do the same as hold my shoulders up around my ears alot and i dont relax much- ive been through the gamut of tests my neuro released me and said to come back if anytning gets worse-!? It would be nice to have a complete answer or diagnosis- instead of play the waiting game- however i did read on someplace whether it was this message board or somewhere else- the statement was simple and to the point- of course we are all worried about what we may have- when really we should be glad of what we do have and are currently capable of doing- why waste energy, time, and worry on something you cannot control- I thought it was a great way to really look at the way we live- now if only I could take that advice and put it to good use myself- anyway food for thought-
See ya
David
