I posted that I had a letter from the hospital informing me that my gp had referred me for an emg and that the wait was around 18-26 weeks.
It also said that if you wanted, you could be placed on the cancellation list. I phoned and said I wanted to go on this list and, lo and behold, got a phone call two days later offering me an appointment the next day!
If you are of the anxious type (like me) two days compared with 18-26 weeks has got to be a good thing. Before I got the call, I was contemplating going private, even though i don't have the funds, so was really pleased that I bothered to go on the cancellation list (saved a small fortune!)
