Fibromyalgia: Looking for Experiences

OK,

2 weeks ago I went to see a neuro because I had the following symptoms:

-muscle aches
-burning pain
-numbness in extremities

Nuero did the EMG and said that I have peripheral neuropathy. So today I go to another neuro for a second opinion, and she does the EMG again and says that I am perfectly fine and says that I might have fibromyalgia.

I was wondering if anybody here has fibromyalgia and what their symptoms are.

I'm just furious at my initial nuero who diagnosed me with neuropathy, just like that. It makes me question the accuracy of the EMG.

I was told by my first neuro that I had neuropathy.
When I went for a second opinion (at Mayo- here in Jacksonville) they chuckled at his diagnosis.
I had an EMG and MRI at Mayo- both were clean. I had to insist on an EMG actually. Their diagnosis was GAD with benign fasciculations and sensory symptoms. I've had a lot- from burning to aching to tingling to soreness to stiffness. This all started in May of 2004, by October 2004 I had to let it go. That was my last appointment w/ Mayo 3/3 appts actually. The last was for tongue twitching- everything OK.
I still have a lot of my symptoms, BUT I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN MY GAD IN CONTROL. So... a lot has to do with me.
