Fibromyalgia Diagnosis Support Group

Hi...My name is Laura .I just started posting a week ago.I just came back from my Nuero.He diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia.I just wondered if anyone else has had that Dx? I 've had a DX of BFS since 2001, but had a bad flare up lately.I'm glad to have found this support group!

I have not been diagnosed with Fibro. What are your symtoms? Are they much different from what you've read about here? What made your neuro change from a BFS dx to Fibro?

Hi Vanessa. That is exactly what she did. She also said that an experienced person should be doing the pressing test because there is a certain amount of pressure you must put on each point. So, I would let an experienced Rheumatologist do the test. She actually did not press too hard, and she just used the very top of her finger. She showed me what part of the finger must be used.
About the mouth spasms/twitches...yes I get them in my tounge also, mostly in the back near my throat, however I do get them in the front too. Gotta get to work, talk to you later. Amy

Just for the record I read a book on fibromyalgia and myofasical pain syndrome and muscle twitches were listed in various places. A co worker of mine has Fibromyalgia and she talks about muscle twitches too.
