I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia almost 3 years ago, based on many other symptoms, such as perceived weakness, dizziness, numbness & tingling.
I did not have twitches until 3 months ago.
There seems to be an assumption here that I don't have BFS because of my diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. Isn't it possible to have both? My answer is yes. You list twitching as a primary symptom of Fibromyalgia, when in many medical circles it is not even considered a symptom.
Neither my GP nor my Neuro would tie the twitches to my Fibromyalgia. They just said that they were benign, without any other presenting symptoms of a MND.
My fears about my twitching are no different than anyone else's here.
I have been in a state of absolute fear and anxiety, believing with my entire being that I am dying of ALS...that I will not live to see my 4-month old son grow up!
So, please do not make me feel unwelcomed here. This forum has been about the only thing that has helped me keep sane over the past couple of weeks.
