Thanks all!SmartMister: yeah that is generally accepted that fasciculations which are not located within one nerve root without weakness are most likely to be benign. I do know that the pathology of motor neuron diseases is that it begin focally and then spreads up and down across the spinal cord. By the way, the leading theories dealing with MND point out that this kind of spreading suggest spreading of some damaged protein that reacts on the anterior horn cells and causes apoptosis (hope its in english correct), ie. cell death. So I know you are right what you have been told...I wish I did not read the article that was posted on Experience with BFS. I knew there were exception, like in everything..just do not want to read about it.mommyLDN,robbie: I find it quite interesting that we developed that tongue twitch after some time of limb/trunk involvement and I am happy we are sharing the same pattern without anything bad.I am going to check my thyroid gland as, together with hypercalcemia (yes, not hypo), can cause especially tongue fasciculations though nearly no neuroligst is aware of that.Docen
