i can have fasciculations even when i'm using my muscles. this scares me, in ALS this is the case. and i've read that if you dont have that, then is more likely benign. have anyone else here this?
fascis are often provoked by muscle activity. Is is a bit funny that some of us are freaked with the fact that their twitches do not stop when they flex muslces, and some - when then strain them. I had both rest fascis and strong trembilng when putting muscle to an effort, and I also had fascis evoked by muscular activity. I am still Ok so probably in BFS we can have everything.
This is very common with BFS. I can flex my muscles and they usually will not stop the fasciculations, especially in my calves and feet. My calves go nonstop and I can flex my leg or foot any which way and they will keep going. Even when I stand, they are still going in my legs. Normal.-Matt
thank you!! i'm sick now, probably influenza and every time I cough I get series of fasciculations in my stomach... and I always get seiries when I strech or turn after sleeping..so i recognize what you a whriting. thanks again
Yep.Sneezing will set off a series of twitches in my eyelids, tongue, neck, chin, etc. If I stretch out in bed, my shoulders, back, legs, arms, hands will all start twitching as well. Thats normal BFS. -Matt
