Famous BFS Cases in Media?

I think we all are notable cases of something... As for celebrities, people are usually interested in dying or fighting disease - I do not know why, really, what is the difference between Ian, our fellow with ALS, and a baseball player with ALS-like syndrome?BFS is not lethal, so not interesting for mass media. It may be a drama in fighting related GAD/OCD... but it is usually too personal.

I was just curious because the more awareness - which can come from media attention that celebrities can easily attract - can cause more research in to the causes and treatments of any disease or disorder. Definitely no difference between a famous person and the posters on this board. Just curious if anyone has spoken out in the media because that could be a way to eventually research the biochemical causes and offer better treatments.
