Facial Cramp: Seeking Reassurance

Maybe this has been covered a million times, maybe not, but I can't seem to find anything reassuring using the search function. So bear with me.A lot of my symptoms are in my face. Lips, eyes, half-smile tremor etc. What worries me is the cramp I get in my face from time to time. It does seem to be in times when I have been talking a lot or am overly tired but I am hoping some of you could share your experiences or lack thereof with facial cramping. Or spasming. I'm not sure what the technical term I should be using is. I had only had the face cramp one time five months ago but now I have had one pop up every day for the last few days.I also get postural or positional twitches in my palm and fingers. Like if I'm holding a book my palm will twitch rapidly, or if I am lifting a glass of water I will get what is like s light tremor and perceived weakness.Any input would be appreciated.

Hello Chris,I have had all of that excp for a face cramp, but lots of twitchy eye lids, lips, etc, and I am sure there are more than a few here that have had a face cramp. What you describe in your hands are very normal. Remember that fasciculations in a flexed muscle are completely normal. Frankly, I have read so many posts here in 2010, and the more I read of yours - the more the symptoms you describe sound exactly like BFS. Welcome to the "Club", You are going to be just fine. :D) Best, RB

Chris I get the hand/finger tremor, and the weakness is perceived nothing more. Sound like BFS to me. I get face twitches but not cramp, but one thing I have learn't since finding this board , is that BFS affects people differently. So just becuase you have something different to some else ( which is highly unlikely on this board) that does not mean anything other than the fact that it is different-no more.cheersRodger
