Exploring Tinnitus and Twitches

HiI think this web site is great and informative. I was if anyone has shared a similar experience to me. I had and MRI done to check my tinnitus in my left earin Mar 06 (all was clear). 4 months later(after a nasty flu) I started to get twitches in my thumb and then over my body at random places. It still is like this today!(Sept 09). The twitches do not bother me that much, but what does, is the hyperexciteability of my twitching when drifting off to sleep. Sometimes during early stage of sleep, if I dream of say, shaking someones hand, my fingers would move in response to that dream/thought. This phenomanom only occurs during the very inital stages and does not contiue thru deep sleep. It's amazing that my nerves/muscle twitching is more sensitive during light sleep! - Anyone else like this?? is this a normal part of BFS also. Does anyone know if BFS eventually goes away? I had a general blood test in March this year (all normal as well).I had a nerve conduction test in June O7(after about a year of finger and thumb twitches) to check if the twitches were an issue - The nerologist did not find any abnormalties during the nerve conduction test.

I had myoclonic jerks something awful when this began. They have subsided some, but I will still have involuntary movements as I drift off. Sometimes I even have a limb move when I am sitting very still. That used to disturb me, but I'm so used to it I still wonder "did I just move that?" I've noticed that if I am sitting and I think about getting up but change my mind, I will move a little as well. Strange.

I had the jerking thing going on more frequently when my anxiety levels were up, but I still notice it from time to time. I'm not sure if it's anxiety or something else, but I haven't slept well since this started. I crashed at 10:30 and was up and wide awake this morning at 3:30. Fortunately I got like 6 and 7 hours the previously two nights. Not sure if it is BFS, anxiety, or that I just don't sleep well.
