Exploring Spasmodic Dysphonia Treatment

I found this article which I thought you might find interesting.There is a condition call spasmodic dysphonia which causes people's voice to 'crack'. Botox is being used to paralyze the pathway between the nerve and vocal chords. It gets rid of the spasms for 4 months at a time.-43RichyThe43rd
 
I think they'd have to hook the Botox up to an IV and paralyze my whole body ;) . It may help those of us who have definite hot spots that refuse to go away for months, though. Unfortunately for me, one of my hot spots is my middle finger on my left hand.... wouldn't want to paralyze that one and risk it being stuck in the "up" position (although I must say I've wanted to use that gesture on few of the doctors I've seen lately :LOL: ).
 
Hey 43RichyThe43rd, one more thing... I've been reading some of your previous posts regarding Lamictal. Have you had any recent success? The last post I saw was sometime in early Feb (although I could have missed a few).Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm considering speaking with my neuro about this.
