Exploring BFS: Twitching & Fasciculations

First of all, I am planning to go to neuro soon. I am 17 years old male. I don't know from when I have twitches... They aren't that bad. I have them in random places... Even had on head few times. From what I read it sounds like BFS and I wouldn't be so worried except... That I keep constantly having these fasciculations in my calves and feet. It is something like on that video I found on youtube- But it IS NOT that strong. Lately I can barely see these twitches in legs, but I know I have them, I feel them. It used to be worst like month or two ago... And In general I have them for like 3 months, maybe even longer. So I just wanted to ask, can it be like that in BFS? I hope so... I don't want anything more serious obviously. What more can I say to all of this... I also have something like this, since I can remember- When I lay my hand on a table, and move finger up, it... really shakes. I mean, they always shake when you do so, but it shakes a bit more then normally. It's the same for toes in feet. But, it never really limited in any way. And well, my muscles are also often shaking pretty much when I use much strenght to use them. But it's not like weakness. And I don't have problems with talking, walking, or anything, so I hope it's not anything bad... What I really wish to know is about the video I posted. Can something similar to this be in BFS? Twitches in other places are either single ones, or it will "catch" me somewhere and will be pulsing for a while, then stop. But I just hate the feeling in my calves, like something is crawling in my skin...Sorry if I made any mistakes, I'm from Poland, and I don't speak english perfectly.Paul.

Hi ZajacTwitching in calves is really common. It's nothing to worry about. I've seen some of the videos on utube and BFS is just like that.Sandra D

You are 17! I dont think you have ***. But if the only way to make you come over this is to go to the neuro. GO! Get over this and enjoy your life!

Excuse me for double posting... But I have a thing to ask. Do BFS fasciculations acn get more intensive after sports? Each week I play soccer, for like 3 hours. And from what I realised my fasciculations in calves are more intense after soccer... Plus, today when I was in bus on my way back to home, suddenly I started to feel extremly weak, I seriously thought I am gonna to get unconcious. But I imagine it's beacause it was extremly sunny, and I was really tired, plus I was hungry since I didn't ate breakfast... I just thought I can point it out here. Hm... Another thing to point out... Sometimes I feel weird numb feeling on/around my backbone... But it isn't too strong.

No need to excuse! I think it sounds like bfs. I myself get more fasciculations after sports. It dosent take mutch to get "them" going. I think your right about the heat, it easy makes you feel weak. But I feel weak even when its not sunny because Im so afraid of ***. The "weird numb feeling" is also very commen in bfs, I have it in more then one place.I hope this answears your questions.Take care
