Exploring alternatives to MS/LS: Neurofibramatosis

It seems odd that we seem to fixate on particular diseases that we fear most such as MS or *LS but never think about other ones.

I sometimes wonder about Neurofibramatosis precisely because it can provide an alternative explanation for some of my symptoms. Nobody has ever gone looking for it, so how would they find it?

Neurofibramatosis would be sneaky enough not to show up on an EMG.

Oh PlayfulPants! What are we going to do with you?! Posting new things to worry about on the support group page! Why aren't we worried about more diseases everyone? Anyone? I guess that actually is a supportive post PlayfulPants in that you gave me a good laugh which is supportive in it's own way. I hope you're doing ok lately.

That's why we count on you Kit, because you always give us such sound advise. I think the people at the neurofibromatosis site are probably grateful, as well. I just hope you didn't give Capitol H the idea that he may be pregnant. As crazy as BCFS is, I am still faily certain that that is not possible. ;)

And I wonder what Stephen Hawking is thinking about right now Capitol H? Probably something much more lovely and eloquent than nervous system disorders, though I guess he must have his down days, too. No more tv for you!

Good point about Stephen Hawking. I doubt he would be hanging out here if he had BFS; he would be too busy solving the existential and physical difficulties of the universe--even more than he already has with all of his limitations. Talk about taking lemons and making lemonade. Steven Hawking shows that anything is possible if you just believe in yourself and don't let your ailments define you. And being brilliant doesn't hurt either (not that I have any frame of reference for that one, but you get my point).
