Exploring Age Differences

Definitely not in my teens anymore, but I feel like I am too young to be dealing with this type of stuff! ;) i'm 32. Do you have any stress or anxiety in your life?

I had no idea that stress and anxiety could do so much to you physically until just recently. My BFS began the same way, very high stress, then just went sky high when I couldn't find answers! Glad you've been feeling better! :)

cenkay - have had some conversations (PMs) with several young people here: 18-early 20's. Not surprisingly most in college away on their own the first time, under stress for keeping grades up, worried about scholarships, relationships, etc. You can nip this in the bud - learn from it by recognizing the problem and where it is coming from, teaching yourself how to relax and let it go, then move on with your life.

Hi!BFS started for me at age 21. Had just graduated college and started my first job. Under immense amounts of stress...Mid twenties now and still kicking. Symptoms have decreased and are almost non-existent. I'm an avid runner and also participate in organized sports 2-3x/week. Don't worry, you'll be fine!SS

I'm 38 but my anxiety issues began when I was 22. Panic attacks, heart palpitations, etc. It pretty much started when I graduated college and started working. So for the past 16 years, I've been dealing with all kinds of anxiety symptoms. But my twitching only began a few months ago. If this is indeed triggered by stress, then it doesn't surprise me that you're having symptoms at your age. It's a common age for people to experience anxiety. I believe the pressure of college builds anxiety and then when a person enters the real world, it only makes it worse. Just my .02.
