Experiencing Thumpers Twitches

Hello all, I have read on this board about what has been referred to as "Thumpers" which I understand are rather large twitches. I have been twitching for seven months now and yesterday, for the first time, experienced a series of these twitches, which felt like strong muscle contractions in my left quadricep. I had three different series of them, one of which seemed to last for a couple minutes. That area feels sore today. Has anyone else experienced this and after 7 months, is it a cause for concern?

I guess it could have been a spasm but I have thought in terms of twitching since this all started. What would be the definition of a thumper twitch if this was a spasm ?

When I experience a "Thumper" twitch it feels like the muscle is moving quickly up and down in a localized spot. It moves with enough force that it can be seen through clothing. There is no pain involved.

A muscle spasm differs from a twitch because the muscle tightens and it can be extremely painful.

Well I could see it through my suit pants, I guess you are right, it may have been a muscle spasm. Are spasms part of BFS ? Is this a cause for concern ?
