Experiencing Knife Stabbing Pain

I was sitting in class today and all of a sudden I got this sharp pain in my back just a few inches below my shoulder blade. It was almost as if someone had took a broom handle and pushed it into my back, It lasted for only a brief minute, but it really hurt. Has anyone else had similar experience whith knife stabbing pain. Thanks in advance

yeah, I get them on occasion. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with BFS though, but it does happen. My mom gets 'em too, so does my wife. Theyt just come out of the blue sometimes.

My name is Kim. I also suffer from the occasional sharp stabbing pain just below my left shoulder blade. I thought it was my gallbladder causing it since pain between the shoulder blades is a symptom of gallbladder disease. Well, it wasn't my gallbladder!! It is reassuring that I am not a sole sufferer of this symptom. The worst for me lately is the aching hands. I use icy-hot cream or Tylenol arthritis cream to ease the discomfort. I am convinced that I have a touch of Fibromyalgia in addition to BFS. Thanks for sharing information about your symptom. It has helped me to ease my mind!!
