Experiencing Heart Flutters/Skips?

Hi guys & girls,

I was wondering if any of you have experienced the following:

Heart flutters- I describe them as really fast- feeling of a whoopi cushion being deflated

Heart skips- feels like the heart has skipped a beat. Get slow and beats one time really hard.

This has been happening a lot. One night it woke me up in the middle of the night. I quit my Lexapro and a month later these palps show up and have not left for a month now. It is really, really scaring me guys. I really dizzy and my head feels congested. I notice it kicks up when I eat or drink a lot.

Anyone?

Heart palpitations are quite common. My mother gets them all the time, actually. Plus, it could very well be stress-related.

As long as you're not having noticeable chest PAINS, then I wouldn't worry too much about it!

As far as I know, none of the bad diseases that we all worry about on this forum target the heart.

I was really thinking that I was experiencing Lexapro withdrawals- but my crazy mind questions it because I stopped it 2 months ago. Well... the heart stuff did start a month ago. If you've ever read anything about withdrawals from SSRI's my situation sounds very similiar only that most start having their symptoms right away. This is very scary. Thanks- Garth & Terri.

Anyone else? Anyone have bad withdrawal symptoms with SSRI's- and were they delayed?

I have had these for years and has gotten worse since BFS started. ALthough I have Long QT Syndrome of the heart and mitrovalve prolapse and a heart murmur so thought it was just the combo on top of a normal thing for alot of people...Jenn

I am totally with you guys on this I have gotten them for years but like eyennyGlimmer they have gotten worse when the BFS started. If it gets to concering you could see a cardiologist and they could put one of those monitors on you that you wear for about a week and it records your heart activity.

This is the thing...

I've got heart palpitations before, especially during my last pregnancy BUT they were the extra/skip heart beat feeling.

Lately, I experience these on top of some fluttering ones. Like 5-8 fast flutters (whoopi/balloon). What are these????

Hi
Count me in for this, i hate them, and get such a panick on when it happens. I wonder if this is just another anoying bfs symptom?

Take Care
