Experiencing Bizarre Sensations with BFS

I've been suffering with BFS for more years than I wish to admit, so I know all about fasics, twitches, or whatever you call them. Recently, I began getting these weird . . . buzzing, tingling, vibrating, mild-electric-current-like, creeping/crawling . . . whatever it could be called, sensations. (When I say "tingling" I don't mean a "pins&needles" thing . . . its more like when you get chills or goosebumps, where it starts & stops suddenly, not gradually, like when your limb "falls asleep.") Here's where it gets weird: it ONLY happens -- or at least can only be felt -- in a very small area within a few inches around my outer hip bones (though it sometimes feels like its moving around, like a bug under the skin) and it ONLY happens -- or is felt -- when I lay on my side (and mostly felt on the hip facing up). The moment I lay on my back or stomach, it suddenly stops (or is not felt)! Unfortunately, I find neither of those positions very comfortable for sleeping. Again, I know what BFS is all about, and I'm 99% sure this is something different, but could it be related? (I also find I'm very itchy all the time . . . another related matter?) More importantly, any ideas on "curing" it?

its totally normal bfs.. i get the same sensations... i think its called globus sensation.. which means sensations all over the body.. ive been having what you are describing under my rib cage.. it feels like somethings moving or fluttering around in there. other than big fluttering or big rolling twitches its more like hundreds of little muscle fibers fluttering around inside my body.. at first i thought it was my heart but as i layed there i realized it was somewhere under the ribs inside.

I get the sensation as you described every day, but mine can vary in location. Sometimes it will be in the same location for an extended period of time, but I've felt it many areas over the past several years. As for itchiness, I'm the itchiest person I know. It seems that I'm always itchy and it gets much worse when my anxiety is higher than normal.....which is higher than a normal person as it is.

I would agree with inzTwoToneTunes, I think a good chiropractor can help you with what you are experiencing. Seeing as how you can reproduce this symptom by contorting your body to the same position (lying on your side). This is almost text book for something being out of alignment and causing nerve compression.
