Examining EMG Results

Hi all,Yesterday I had the bad idea of looking at the values of my EMG in order to see how normal they are. Conclusions of my EMG done after 3 months (I'm at 8 now) is velocities: normal, amplitudes: normal, everything normalBut I saw that I have 2 nerves (left ulnar below elbow and right median wrist) that gives values of 40 and 43 m/s. And I read on many neuro sites that normal values should be above 50 m/s for upper limbs which is not my case. Even if the neuro wrote velocities normal, that scares me.Anyone here who had a clean EMG have values of motor velocities below 50 for upper limbs? Thanks

There is very wide range of normal values, differing from lab to lab usually. Remember that these values are based on calculations based on lenght of your limbs and thus do not have to be accurate. The neurologist who did the NCV did not find it abnormal so why are you, without understanding the measurements and technique itself, doubting it?Anyway, in MND, the issues are found in amplitudes (usually too low or too high) and/or in F-waves (low persistence, high amplitude).

Thank you so much. Yeah I think you're right. I guess that if I my EMG was bad 5 months ago then I would have clinical evidences today which is not really the caseIt's strange how anxiety can come back so fast and easily while it take weeks to calm down
