EMG Results: TOS Diagnosis Confirmed

I had an emg done last week for the second time. First time aoround he did my arms and legs however neuro said that my hands were to cold to get a proper reading. Since then i was dx with TOS (compressed nerve) so I brought this up with the neuro along with the twitching and the als fear. He did a clinical which he said was fine. Then he did an emg to see if he can detect any nerve issues from TOS and he said that it was clean. I was wondering if there are there many different types of emgs eg one for als and a seperate one for carpal tunnel, TOS etc. OR is there one type of emg that looks for any type of nerve damage? For example he said that my emg was clean for TOS but does that mean i need a seperate one for als?

I don't think the emg is different. The emg is a broad test which can look for dozens of conditions. If its clean its clean and you don't have to worry.
