I am wondering if I have tarsel tunnel. My EMG report states that "The superficial peroneal sensory response was somewhat low compared to the sural", however he states that "this was probably technical." Now, I have said here before, I have no idea what that means (I get the fact that it may have been "technical") but I don't know what the other stuff means.
Also, everything on my EMG was normal except the "Abductor Hallucis" was inconclusive and has a 1+ under fasciculation.
I guess my question is: If I have tarsel tunnel, could he tell from this EMG? I told him how my toes feel crippled, I have pain in them and in my ankle. I also have had a cramp in my left calf for almost a year. I have read that tarsel tunnel can cause cramping in the calf. I wonder why he never mentioned tarsel tunnel. He did state I have Carpel Tunnel.
I know a few of you mentioned you have tarsel tunnel.....to those of you, do any of the medical terms used above sound related?
Who could take care of this for me? I have read about surgery, which I would maybe consider to get rid of this foot/calf pain? I've been told NOT to see a foot doctor. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
