Emg Appointment Disaster!

so i had my appointment for the emg yesterday.....i waited 5 weeks for it and became pretty nervous the last days.
and when i went there, he had run out of emg-needles!!!
and could not do it. i still can´t believe it.
i`m so tired now, tired of being afraid, tired of waiting for this exam....
I don`t even have a new appointment by now.
i am not sure if i want to go there again.
but looking for a new neuro is also embarrassing.
I was hoping so much, that a good result would calm me and make living more easily.
but now i feel worse then before.
greetings lilith

I am so sorry for you lilith. It seems an unbelievable story, that a neuro would not have enough needles to what is, after all, his job. It would be like the carpenter showing up without his measuring tape and hammer. This callous disregard for the suffering of others does not inspire confidence in one. I would recommend you seek out another neuro, if you are able to do so. A neuro who is more interested in his patients and less in the golf course.

Having said all that, it is important for us to follow our instincts, the deep-down ones, that can tell us we are well. Sometimes emotion and instinct are not on the same page, and it is here that our instinct is the voice of reason. You have waited five weeks and you are still walking upright on this magnificent planet of ours. Allow yourself to laugh a little today, you deserve it. Treat yourself to the delicious prospect of a long life, with a side dish of joy. A caffe latte and chocolate might also be in order. LOL

Have a great day.
Cheers,
Basso

Lilith,

I can't believe your neuro ran out of needles; I bet he thinks that an emg isn't really warranted; you have bfs. Please try to stay calm, as your anxiety will exacerbate your condition. My primary was willing to order an emg on me(repeat) when I went in the hospital, but I declined because my neuro had already done two and was getting annoyed with me! Just remember, this condition gets worse, gets better. You will start feeling better. Also, try to reschedule your emg asap; I know it is a hassle, but the sooner you have results, the sooner you will feel better.
God bless you,

Cherie
