i am still new to this site and very confused about my cramping. since reading about this terrible disease and its earliest symptons i have cramping in both feet and both hands almost continually. coincidence or anxiety? when you read about cramping on all those sites what does it really mean? are they severe cramps or just the feeling of one. also like twitching that is random in bfs is that the same for cramping? my cramping seems random and never in just one hand or one foot all the time does that sound like how that disease begins? i have seen 2 neuros with clean clinicals and both hardly even adressed my cramping but as my anxiety gets worse it seems my cramps follow any words of wisdom would be great appreciated

whistler99,Please rest assured that cramping in the feet and hands is SOOOOO common with BFS. All I have to do is point my toes and the arches of my feet will cramp up. During my emg at Mayo, they asked me to flex my calf and it caused my foot to cramp, DURING THE EMG! The neuro just laughed it off and said, "Sorry bout that". Nothing to be concerned about. -Matt

:D) hi whistler, if i point my toes i can elicit a cramp in the arches of both my feet i also get cramps near the thumbs in my hands...on a scale of 1-10 i would say the feet cramps are about a 9 for pain and the hand ones about a 8...believe what matt said cramps with bfs is very common.....shanny

I am very interested in the responses to this post as well. I had a clean emg 1 month ago but have since had an increase in cramping. Mostly in one hand but it is the hand that was emg'd so that would have picked anything up right? I guess like so many others I just expected everything to go away after I got the all clear from the neuro and that just isn't the case.
