So I've realized, unlike many of you, that I don't twitch in the morning when I first wake up. Hardly get a twitch at all for the first twenty minutes of my day. Anyone have a reason for this? Very strange indeed. How about you?
When I used to twitch, mornings were the best time of day for me. In my case I now know that one of my biggest triggers were inflammatory foods in my diet. Gluten was my worst offender. Since it was in my breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a regular basis my body was never free of it long enough to start feeling better. The best I ever would feel would be the mornings because I would not have eaten anything since dinner the night before and my system was starting to calm down. I never put two and two together until after I started modifying my diet though. I would often puzzle over why mornings were better but never understood why at the time. I'm not suggesting this is the case for everyone who feels better in the mornings, but it's 'food for thought'.
I've been having similar thoughts lately. I have a feeling for me it's caffeine and/or sugar because that's the first thing i do when I wake up - have a cup of coffee. Something for me to think about, but I'm not sure if I can handle that withdrawals of coffee - I think I'd prefer to twitch )
You can try switching to an herbal tea in the morning. It gives you a hot beverage to drink without the sugar and caffeine. I found it to be a worthwhile substitute.
I twitch nonstop in my lower legs but I just don't notice it when I am doing something to distract me. So if a twitch happens in a muscle, but the mind wasn't there to notice it, did the twitch really happen? lol
i twitch 24x7 365.25 days a year....I just wax and wane on the severity scale....2-10 during the day, during the week, during the year. Other than staying gluten free I have very little control on the variability.
I wax and wane, but also think I'm twitching somewhere every second of every day. Sometimes I don't feel any, but I assume that, if I took a few seconds to watch my calves or other hot areas, I would be twitching. I'm getting better at just not noticing it. Twitches in new or odd areas still mess with me a little, though.
I twitch everyday since end of April 13. The daily severity is always different. Lower legs are constant but always have seemingly random upper body hits. Today has been legs, occassional rt. Eye, lt bicep. So I'm not sure of a time that I don't twitch...every couple seconds it seems i can feel somewhere twitch. If the twitching wans..its only for a brief time
