Does Diet Affect BFS Symptoms?

Can anyone tell me whether eating particular foods has made their BFS (accutely) worse? I just finished a packet curry sauce ( just add meat thing) and after consuming my calves went crazy twitching, then light facial twitches ( popcorn I think some call them). I am wondering if there is a link. And perhaps the MSG, additives, colours, high salt etc in some of these packet things make the BFS ( nerves?) play up. Would be interested in what others say or have experienced, and if there is trends. Perhaps we can come up with a BFS 'donts' on foods??? Lucky chocolate doesn't appear to do it- would have been a very twitchy easter!cheersRodger

Hi RodgerAlcohol, caffeine and chocolate flare my symptoms up - I so love all three of these things that I am deeply *beep* off about this!. This my sound a bit weird but some foods affect my sleep patterns and the sleep disturbance in turn flares up my twitching. If I have a spicy dish for dinner then I know that I will wake in the night and willl twitch more the following day.Regards from NZSimon

I've been off gluten for almost a year and it seems to have helped me tremendously. Until my next flare that is : )I also seem to think that MSG sets me off. And there can be heaps of that in spicy sauces...
