Do I Have BFS Vibrations?

Hi. I have had BFS for over 10 yrs but have never had this weird symptom, feels like a vibration or a buzzing sensation in one specific area that last about 30sec then goes away and returns over and over again all day. Does anyone experience this with BFS?

When I first started with this wonnderful bfs thing, I had the buzzing more. It was strong enough that I though my cell phone was buzzing in the vibration mode several times.

I have a BFS diagnosis from one Doc (suspected Lyme and post-infection syndrome from two others). I've recently had some strong buzzing pain. There was a strand of muscle or nerve deep in my left calf that was buzzing away like a motor, and it was painful too. At the same time one of the muscle strands that runs down the left shin was 'red hot', buzzing (a strong electrical high-frequency buzz) and painful, and the vibrating of its strength was like the purring of a cat. The pain was worst at the tendon attachment of that muscle just below the left knee. While I'm having twitches all over every day, luckily I've only had such buzzing pain a few times.

Interestingly, the buzzing pain was importantly like widespread tendinitis pain I had that (without much twitching) kicked off the onset of this weird condition several months ago. Tendinitis was so bad I had trouble walking. Then given antibiotics it went away almost overnight. But after the antibiotics stopped, twitches came. The importance of the similarity in buzz pain and prior onset tendinitis was that it tells me that they're the same condition. The buzzing just added this bizarre electric aspect to tendinitis-like pain. The antibiotic response makes me suspect Lyme more than BFS. But one Doc said BFS. So I'm still trying to figure what's going on.

I started this BFS thing 3 months ago. My feet buzzed for three weeks and then stopped. Now they're buzzing again. I had a stressful weekend so I thing this is what triggered them.

I have the buzzing in my right foot most of the time. It buzzes for a few seconds then stops for a few seconds then buzzes again. This continues all of the time. I think I had it even before my twitching started, but worse now. My right hand seems to do it too sometimes. I don't notice near as much on my left side.

Hello all,

I haven't posted in a while. But I think I get the buzzing too. I am not sure what it is, but I get this sensation like being in my car am at a stop and my leg is vibrating a bit. I get this mostly on my right side. When I look at my leg it is not tremoring, but if definately feels wierd and awkward. Strength is o.k. though. This freaks me out as I have a parent with parkinson's. If it isn't twitching, it is jerking , it is buzzing! What next!!!! It has been bad since I did the MS walk on Sunday. I have stopped effexor as of 1 month, so it could be a withdrawal symptom. Anyway, just thought I would share.

Thank you all!

Luke

Hi Christos,

There is a percentage where research shows it is genetic, but it isn't always. If you're neurologist is saying that you are o.k. then you should believe them. I know it is easier to say then to do. I am freaking out myself right now.

All the best,

Luke

Dear everybody....
I have had (for the first time after 5 months with consecutive symptoms) a time window free of symptoms. It last for 2 days at the beginning, then I had symptoms again and then last for 5 days, and unforunatelly now symptoms appear again.
During this time, my Doctor prescribe me LevoCarnitine. I do not know if the drug helped me or it was something else.
Right now, I wake up with the same symptoms as before. Buzzing and vibration sense in my whole body, a slight tremor in my hands, and dizziness.
I am still waiting to find out what is wrong.
I hope the best for all of us.
Christos
