Do ALS Twitches Feel Like Popcorn?

My twitching feels like popcorn popping under my skin, but mine can't be seen. I read on an ALS sight that popcorn popping under the skin feeling is related to ALS, but do any of you feel like that describes your twitches also????

Sometimes my twitches are visible and rapid. Sometimes just big thumpers and they stop. I have at times described them as popcorn pops or just vibrations in my feet. I made these descriptions to my neuro and he has told me that I do not have ALS. I have never read that ALS twitches are like popcorn popping. The only description I have read is
"like worms crawling under your skin" but that by itself wouldn't mean someone has ALS. Stay off the ALS sites. You'll only make yourself worry more.

My first twitching was a popcorn-like feeling and I still get that from time-to-time like right now. Some can be seen and some can't--helps to hold a light to cast the muscle in shadow in order to see the tiny depressions made. But I also get the same activity in the form of thumpers (a quick, sharp twitch of a whole muscle), and vibrations (I know they are fast twitches but I can't begin to see them).

I have heard repeatedly that ALS patients generally are not aware of many of their fascics, while most of us in this group probably would admit that we can sometimes feel each little one.
