Discussing Tremor Symptoms

It seems that lots members also suffer from the tremor. Let's talk about it a little more1. shaking part:2. Did it happen before the onset of first twitch (if yes, does it exacerbate a lot after the onset)3. When do you feel the shakiness? (at rest/maintain certain gesture/after exercise...)4. Any comment:

1. shaking part:Most bad on left forearm. Whole body2. Did it happen before the onset of first twitch (if yes, does it exacerbate a lot after the onset)Yes, my left forearm suffers from essential tremor before the twitch. And it exacerbates a lot when I stretch my palm. My whole body also shake when I exert force on body or maintain certain gesture for a while.3. When do you feel the shakiness? (at rest/maintain certain gesture/after exercise...)Maintain certain gesture/ exert force/ contract my muscle ex:holding a book with one hand.4. Any comment:I'm not sure my shakiness is derived from my anxiety or something nasty. I did not used to shake like this bad and this make me worry a lot.

1. shaking part: arms and hands2. 14 days before twitching. Same as usuall, every day (night)3. At night after some 5 hours of sleep (early morning) in both hands and during activity left arm.4. My doc told me this medical symptom (night tremor) doesn't exist. It is not a medical symptom he said. It must be psychological.

1. shaking part: bad finger tremor (compare video "video....my fingers), 24/7 internalk vibration in right arm, random vibration in legs, sometimes real tremors2. Did it happen before the onset of first twitch (if yes, does it exacerbate a lot after the onset) hm, it was around the same time, started with 2 fingers3. When do you feel the shakiness? (at rest/maintain certain gesture/after exercise...) at rest lots of vibrating, during and after exercise real tremors4. Any comment:

I am glad that you are discussing the tremor. For me, it is the worst part of BFS; the most difficult symptom to deal with. Further, this is the only symptom that is getting worse with time. The other symptoms (fasciculation, myoclonia, paresthesia) come and go, but I don’t think that they are getting worse. 1. Shaking part: Most bad at left arm. Whole body.It started on my left arm. If I leaned against something with my hand (with a bended elbow), the muscles started to shake. After that, two fingers on the left hand started to “dance” just like in the video by christinasgirl123. It bothers me when I use the keyboard. Now, both arms shake when I keep them straight (postural tremor). The legs and the jaw entered the game two weeks ago. If I keep one feet of the ground, the leg starts to shake. Sometimes my teeth chatter. If I press my front teeth together, I can feel the fine vibration of the jaw. 2. Did it happen before the onset of first twitch (if yes, does it exacerbate a lot after the onset)I did not have tremor before BFS. My first symptom of BFS was fasciculation in the palm of my left hand, then left arm (Sept/2011). The tremor in my left arm became noticeable in Nov/2011. Myoclonia was very intense in the first 3 months.3. When do you feel the shakiness? (at rest/maintain certain gesture/after exercise...)I have “postural tremor”. It is gone at rest. If I keep my arms raised in the level of my chest, they shake. If I open my fingers, the forearm and the fingers shake. If I lift a foot, the leg shakes. If I hold something heavy under my arm for some minutes, the arm is useless afterwards because the tremor is intensified. Same works with the hand/fingers. I am afraid of doing exercise to see how bad it gets. The tremor gets a lot worse on emotional situations (stress, anxiety, scare, anger, insecurity etc). 4. Any comment:- I also have “ratcheting” of the muscles. It is most obvious when I close my hand and swing my fist up and down. The muscles in my forearm clearly vibrate instead of doing a smooth movement. I wonder if this is what they can “kinetic tremor”. - I tried primidone for the tremor, but quit after 5 days because I felt very dizzy in the morning, as if I was drunk. Didn’t notice change in the tremor in these 5 days. - Sometimes, when I wake up in the middle of the night, I feel my whole body, or parts of it, vibrating. It is a very strange feeling. Besides, the “ratcheting” is more intense.

Great thread - I've really struggled with this one too. More specifically with the "this cannot be anxiety or something benign" thought. Here are my answers:1. shaking part:For me, there are a couple of different types of shaking. There is the tremor that happens when I hold a body part in a certain position, which primarily seems to affect my fingers when separated from each other, and then there is the "internal tremor", or feeling of shaking from the inside out. Don't know what exactly brings that one on. 2. Did it happen before the onset of first twitch (if yes, does it exacerbate a lot after the onset)I noticed it one time, pinky finger on the right hand, trembled a bit when I held it apart from the rest. This was about a month before other symptoms onset. The neurologist picked up on the tremor in my hands upon examination and didn't say much about it.3. When do you feel the shakiness? (at rest/maintain certain gesture/after exercise...)Definitely notice the shakiness when maintaining a certain gesture or position. Not really after exercise. Internal tremor when I'm at rest.4. Any commentYes, I HATE THIS. That pretty much sums it up. Truth be told, I am not completely convinced that I don't have the nasty thing, still.

Hey there,Each time my neck/chest muscles contract (e.g. by keeping my jaw in a certain position) they start to shake. It doesn't come and go; these muscles always shake whenever I contract them (it has been the case for several months now). Anyone else has this problem? If it's not weakness, what could explain this shakiness?
