Discussing Garden Variety BFS

Your symptoms sound very much like mine, and others' here. The internal shaking and vibrating. Does buzzing sound familiar, too? Even the lightheadedness is familiar, although only occasional in my case.

I really liked StephG22's reply to your post, because I agree MS is not so bad, compared to ALS, or even Parkinson's. But your case sounds like garden variety BFS - perhaps a post-viral neuropathy, generally believed to be autoimmune, and benign!

Keep reading on this board and you'll find reassurance.

Ama,

The subjective trembling sensation, buzzing in legs, vibration sensation, and muscle twitching are all common symptoms/complaints to a great deal of us with BFS, or as Stevepaul calls it PNH. Peripheral nerve hyperexcitability. As bothersome and worriesome as these symptoms are they are generally diagnosed as benign. That has been the case for me and probably 99% of the rest of the members on this forum. I hope it's reassuring to you to know that you have lots of company. It's always reassuring to me when I read someone relaying a symptom they are experiencing and I can say to myself, "hey I have that too". It makes me feel like it must be OK. See your doctor and get on some medication that will help to alleviate the symptoms.

Good luck, take care!
Karen
